The children are provided with endless opportunities to explore the outside environment. With such beautiful and extensive grounds, we put a big emphasis on outdoor learning.
Our large garden includes a lovely grassy area with lots of space and opportunities for playing in the willow den, parachute games, role-play and picnics with teddy bears are just a few of the activities which can be seen taking place. A large wooden play-frame with slides, sandpit, balance beam and wobbly bridge provides hours of fun.
The sensory garden is the perfect setting to explore the natural world, with abundant flowers and herbs to smell and feel. Imagine how lovely it is to sit and watch the honey bees busily buzzing from flower to flower.
Children gain an understanding of caring for living things through the family of friendly animals in our own nursery paddock. Our chickens are fed daily and provide us in return with a never-ending supply of eggs. In the spring we have lambs. These are hand-reared by the children, and are always keen to greet visitors to the nursery.
